Abstrakt: Sixteen rabbits were brought with complaint of alopecia and erythematic lesions. On clinical examination, scales, erythema and crusty lesions were observed on ears, nose, face, around ears, paws and around genitalia. Skin scrapings examination revealed Sarcoptes sp. These rabbits were categorised into two groups. Group I received Ivermectin (3.5% w/v) weekly once for 4 weeks and Group II received Ivermectin (3.5% w/v) two weeks once for 10 weeks. This study demonstrated that rabbits infested by S. scabiei mange can be cured using Ivermectin once weekly for 4 weeks which shows rapid and positive results rather than using Ivermectin once in two weeks for 10 weeks.
