Society must know its past, present, and future moves. This is especially true in the exponentially evolving domain of medical sciences, where research plays a substantial part and becomes pertinent to analysing the research performance of various subjects. Objectives: The basic objectives of this study are focused on - • To identify the number of research publications on COVID-19 in India. • To find the most prolific Indian researcher. • To identify the preferred sources. Methodology: This study deals with the Indian research performance on novel coronavirus (COVID-19), breaking with 28,428 data retrieved on 03.04.2023 from the SCOPUS database during this recent year (2020, 2021, and 2022). Discussion: Scientometrics analysis of research output, authorship pattern, citation received, and most preferred sources can be made to reflect the holistic state of research in COVID-19 in India. It is a disease caused by a new coronavirus. This study highlights Bradford's law of scattering, the Leimkuhler model, and the most preferred sources. Conclusions: This digital environment helps researchers exchange their thoughts and ideas with other researchers worldwide. Health science researchers connect themselves with their education, technological learning, and the rhythm and sparking of their perfect footstep. Self-confidence and dedication to the profession are social needs that make things happen against all adversities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
