The article discusses the benefits of ultrasound-guided central neuraxial block (CNB) compared to traditional landmark-based techniques in anaesthesia. Studies have shown that USG-guided CNB has higher success rates, fewer complications, and reduced costs. Incorporating USG training into postgraduate medical curricula could enhance future anaesthesia professionals' competencies and skills. However, challenges such as the high learning curve, resource constraints, and variations in patient anatomy need to be addressed for widespread adoption. The article emphasizes the importance of standardized training and curriculum development to ensure safe and effective use of USG-guided CNB. [Extracted from the article] |
