Abstrakt: The article explores the association between maternal Toxoplasma gondii infection and its impact on child development and behavior in tribal regions of Gujarat, India. The study found no significant differences in household infection risk factors or children's bio-parameters based on maternal Toxoplasma positivity. However, infants born to PCR+IgG+ mothers showed higher negative affect scores compared to infants born to PCR−IgG− mothers. The study highlights the need for further research to understand the implications of maternal Toxoplasma infection on children's behavior and development in these communities.
