A clinical trial, NCT06698133, is being conducted at the University of Mississippi Medical Center involving 50 pregnant teenagers and their infants to analyze the correlation between health literacy, gestational weight gain, and infant birth weight. Participants will be randomized using a research randomizer tool and will receive education content through a private social media group. The trial aims to improve the nutritional status and weight outcomes of pregnant teens. The study is not yet recruiting participants and is scheduled to be completed by September 30, 2025.
