Abstrakt: A recent study from Cluj Napoca, Romania, examined the impact of patient positioning during neurosurgical procedures on anesthetic parameters and complications. The study compared the sitting and park-bench positions in 314 adult patients undergoing surgery for posterior fossa pathologies. Results showed that the sitting position was associated with a higher incidence of anesthetic complications but a lower postoperative mortality rate compared to the park-bench position. This research highlights the importance of carefully assessing the risks and benefits of surgical positioning for individual patients. [Extracted from the article]
