Researchers from Shandong University in China have conducted a study on the effects of Eldecalcitol (ED-71) in treating diabetic osteoporosis and glucolipid metabolic disorders. The study found that ED-71 promoted the differentiation of Treg cells, which helped in improving bone health, glucose homeostasis, and lipid metabolism in diabetic mice. The research suggests that ED-71 could be a potential therapy for osteoimmunity and diseases involving store-operated Ca2+ entry (SOCE). The study was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and has been peer-reviewed. [Extracted from the article] |
