Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted at the Academic Center for Dentistry Amsterdam examined the influence of cleft lip and palate on children's performance on wind instruments such as the recorder, flute, and clarinet. The research found that there were no significant differences in performance between children with and without cleft lip and palate. Older children and those with more experience on their instrument demonstrated longer blowing duration and better sound quality. The study concluded that children with cleft lip and palate should not be discouraged from learning to play wind instruments. [Extracted from the article] |
