Abstrakt: | Researchers at Shenzhen Longhua District Central Hospital conducted a study on rectal neuroendocrine neoplasms (rNENs) using whole-exome sequencing to identify genetic alterations during disease progression. The study found marked differences in mutational landscape between small and large-sized rNEN samples, as well as between large-sized samples with or without lymph node metastases. The research highlights potential therapeutic targets and genetic features associated with tumor size and lymphatic metastasis in rNEN patients, offering insights for improved treatment strategies. The findings were published in Cell Death and Disease and can be accessed for free online. [Extracted from the article] |
