Recent research from Gadjah Mada University in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, explores the potential of Methylcobalamin (MeCbl) as a therapy for chronic peripheral neuropathic pain. MeCbl, a neuroregenerative agent, may modulate neuroinflammation and reduce pain symptoms by affecting ion channel activity and gene expression in neurons. The study highlights the molecular pharmacology action of MeCbl and its potential therapeutic role in neurodegenerative diseases. This research was supported by Indonesian Education Scholarship and Indonesia Endowment Funds for Education. [Extracted from the article] |
