A recent study conducted by researchers from North China University of Science and Technology focused on the early impairment of face perception in post-stroke depression (PSD). The study aimed to explore the face perception characteristics of PSD through electrophysiological indicators N170 and VPP, comparing 58 PSD patients, 188 non-PSD patients, and 30 healthy controls. The findings suggest that PSD patients exhibit defects in early face recognition, indicating abnormalities in the early perception and structural encoding of face information. This research provides neuroelectrophysiological evidence for impaired emotionless face recognition in PSD patients. [Extracted from the article] |
