Abstrakt: | Understanding someone's concepts and beliefs can help us understand their behavior. This study explores concepts and beliefs about COVID-19 among Iranian older adults. We used a descriptive phenomenological approach. This study is part of a larger research project that explored coping strategies among older adults in response to the stressors of the COVID-19 pandemic. Data was collected with semi-structured interviews with older adults, who had used more Emotion-focused coping strategies during the covid-19 pandemic. By analyzing the data using a phenomenological lens, this research sought to uncover the underlying meanings and structures of participants' experiences, providing insights into their perceptions of risk, vulnerability, and the impact of the pandemic on their daily lives. The findings of this study contribute to a deeper understanding of the unique perspectives and experiences of older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic, informing healthcare providers, policymakers, and community organizations in developing targeted interventions and support services.
