Research from the Affiliated People's Hospital of Ningbo University has found that Corynoxine, a bioactive ingredient in traditional Chinese medicine Uncaria rhychophaylla, may have potential as a treatment for lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). The study showed that Corynoxine suppressed LUAD cell proliferation and metastasis by inhibiting the PI3K/AKT pathway and suppressing Cyclooxygenase-2 expression. These findings suggest that Corynoxine could be a promising therapeutic option for individuals with LUAD. The research was funded by various organizations, including the Science And Technology Program of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Zhejiang Province. [Extracted from the article] |
