A study conducted by researchers at Gachon University in South Korea investigated the effects of foot position-based gait training on muscle activity, gait parameters, and balance in subacute stroke patients. The study involved 45 patients who were randomly assigned to three different training groups. Results showed that all groups exhibited significant improvements in muscle activation, gait parameters, and balance ability after a four-week intervention period. The study suggested that inward curved gait training may be more effective in enhancing muscle activity and balance ability in patients with subacute stroke. [Extracted from the article] |
