A study conducted by the Department of Animal Sciences explored the impact of processed coffee husk on the feed intake, nutrient digestibility, body weight changes, and economic feasibility of Bonga sheep fed on natural pasture hay. The research found that boiled coffee husk could be a viable alternative feed resource, enhancing the income of smallholder farmers without adverse effects of anti-nutritional factors.
