A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Toronto evaluated the validity evidence of competency assessment tools for Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS). The study identified five EUS assessment tools from ten studies, with the TEESAT, GAPS-EUS, and EUSAT showing strong validity evidence for formative assessment of EUS. These tools can be easily implemented in educational settings to monitor progress and support learning in the field of endoscopy. The study highlights the importance of using assessment tools to enhance learning and ascertain clinical competence in EUS. [Extracted from the article] |
