Abstrakt: Nanotechnology has a broad scope of applications in both science technique and technology fields. It performs aids in the resolution of different environmental issues, including contaminated water sources. NMTs possess several benefits over traditional materials, including a large surface zone, polar and non-polar chemistries, controllable, size-tunable properties, and simple biodegradation, making them great factors for cleaning aqueous systems in the environment. Non-carbon NMTs like LDH, IMO NPs, NPC, MON, and NMB/F are mentioned during this review for HM contamination water and remediating environment. By dint of the tunable exclusive chemistry and tiny size, non-carbon NMTs have better power for remediating water and natural ecosystem applications. Moreover, this work especially records the state-of-the-art studies on modified non-carbon materials for recovering the natural environment (detecting heavy pollutants with various remediation techniques is the main goal) within the latest insights in 5 years. Finally, the foreseeable challenges of these useful materials are tentatively proposed and discussed from the point of environmental safety. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
