Around the world, water storage structures have become essential for supplying the growing demands of the populace. Indian standards (IS) 3370:2009 have been used extensively for the design of water storage structures. The Bureau of Indian Standards has released IS3370:2021, a recently revised standard for concrete structures intended to retain aqueous liquids. This method has undergone several significant changes, such as an increase in the minimum reinforcement criteria, detailed spacing criteria, the addition of new water tightness classes, a further reduction in the crack-width limitation, etc. This study elaborates on the comparative design analysis that has been done by using IS3370:2021 and IS3370:2009 to build an elevated RCC circular water tank.
