In response to the urgent need for sustainable transportation solutions, this study presents findings from a comprehensive market study and user behavior analysis concerning battery swap adoption for 2W-EVs in Indonesia. The research focused on accessing the current state of battery swap practices and user experiences to provide insights for industry, government, and other relevant stakeholders. Through field studies and observation, a diverse landscape of battery swapping infrastructure, battery types, and swapping practices was identified. In-depth interview with 100 users across Greater Jakarta emerged as a crucial component, offering valuable perspectives for brand positioning and provider evaluation. The study highlights the lack of standardization within the battery swapping industry, the need of collaborative efforts to address challenges and capitalize on opportunities in fostering widespread adoption of battery swap solutions in Indonesia's 2W-EV market. This research contributes to the existing literature by providing empirical evidence and actionable insights for stakeholders, aiming to navigate and improve the battery swap ecosystem in Indonesia that rapidly evolving electric vehicle market.
