Abstrakt: A 77-year-old woman with a history of persistent hot flashes was found to have atypical hypoglycemia through continuous glucose monitoring, despite her HbA1c levels being within the appropriate range. Adjusting her glimepiride dosage led to relief from hot flashes and hyperhidrosis. The study highlights the importance of monitoring glucose levels in older patients, as they may experience intermittent episodes of hypo- and hyperglycemia, which can manifest in nonspecific symptoms. The research was supported by various grants and approved by the local ethics committee. [Extracted from the article]
