Researchers from Qassim University in Saudi Arabia conducted a study on the prevalence of anhedonia and anxiety among postgraduate students and their impact on food consumption. The study found that sugary, fast, and fried foods were positively associated with anxiety and anhedonia, while fruits and vegetables were negatively associated. The research highlighted the importance of understanding the relationship between food consumption and mental health, especially for students with stressful lifestyles.
