Abstrakt:	A recent study conducted in North India by researchers at the Department of Psychiatry focused on the patterns and correlates of tobacco use in patients with schizophrenia. The study found that 61.54% of patients with schizophrenia were tobacco users, with the majority being tobacco chewers who started tobacco use in their second to third decades of life. The research suggests that the prevalence of tobacco use among patients with schizophrenia is high, and there may be a relationship between the severity of psychopathology in schizophrenia and tobacco use behavior.
