A recent study from the University of Michigan highlights the development of a thermosensitive periodontal membrane (TSPM) for guided tissue regeneration in treating periodontal disease. The TSPM, composed of poly(L-lactic acid) and poly(epsilon-caprolactone)diacrylate, demonstrated superior performance in promoting local regeneration compared to a clinically available material. This research, supported by the National Institutes of Health and the University of Michigan System, showcases the potential of TSPM in enhancing oral health outcomes. [Extracted from the article] |
