Abstrakt: | Researchers at Shahed University in Tehran, Iran, have developed egg yolk immunoglobulins (IgY) targeting specific proteins of Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC) to inhibit toxin activity and bacterial adherence. The study found that IgY antibodies against the virulence factors of ETEC showed promise in inhibiting toxin attachment and reducing fluid accumulation in the intestine. This research suggests that IgY antibodies could be used as prophylactic antibodies against ETEC bacteria. [Extracted from the article] |
