A recent study conducted at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada, focused on spinal cord compression (SCC) in pediatric patients with relapsed, progressing, or refractory solid malignancies. The study reviewed 28 patients over a 12-year period and found that proactive radiation therapy for potential SCC did not yield superior outcomes compared to reactive treatment for actual SCC.
