A recent study conducted at Smt. Kishoritai Bhoyar College of Pharmacy in Maharashtra, India, focused on developing pregabalin-loaded Trimethyl Chitosan (TMC) microspheres for intranasal drug delivery in epilepsy treatment. The microspheres showed promising results in terms of drug release, pharmacodynamic properties, and biocompatibility, with high entrapment efficiency and bioadhesion potential. The research concluded that these microspheres have great potential for nasal administration of hydrophilic drugs like pregabalin, offering a new approach for drug delivery systems.
