The article discusses the significance of incorporating forgiveness as a therapeutic goal for adolescents and young adults after parental divorce, based on findings by Van der Wal et al. (2024) that link forgiveness to improved psychological well-being. Topics include the clinical relevance of forgiveness in therapy, developmental challenges faced during adolescence and young adulthood; and the limited impact of forgiveness on younger children's well-being. |
