Abstrakt: Aim: The aim of the study is to assess the quality of life of people diagnosed with CD and to analyze the factors that have a significant impact on the level of life satisfaction of these people. Material and methods: The research group consisted of 100 patients diagnosed with CD under the care of the Specialist Gastroenterological Outpatient Clinic in Lodz. The study was conducted using the diagnostic survey method, including the Life Satisfaction Scale (SWLS) and a self-authored questionnaire. Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS Statistics 21.0 statistical package and the ANOVA test. A 5% risk of inference error was assumed. A probability value of p <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: The survey showed an average level of the quality of life of the respondents. Demographic factors such as: gender, age, education level, place of residence, as well as professional status, type of work, financial situation, having children and contact with family do not affect the level of life satisfaction in people with CD. There was a significant correlation between education about the disease and the quality of life of the respondents. Conclusions: The general level of satisfaction with life of people with CD was average. Demographic factors, i.e. gender, age, education level, professional status, type of work and place of residence did not affect the quality of life of people with CD. People who have been educated about the disease have shown a higher level of life satisfaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
