Abstrakt:	An interview with Patrick Kole, vice president, legal and government affairs at the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC), is presented. He discussed significant cases during his time at the IPC, whether Big Dairy and dairy marketing boards are actively trying to weaken protections for geographical indicators (GIs) or certification marks, and what he thinks about the future of agriculture.
