The article discusses a study that validates the Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) chorionicity-specific models for fetal growth in twin pregnancies using a nationwide Danish cohort. The study included over 10,000 twin pregnancies and found that the FMF models provided accurate estimates of estimated fetal weight (EFW) in uncomplicated pregnancies. The research suggests that these models could be valuable for clinical applications and further investigations, particularly in identifying twins that are small-for-gestational age.
