A study conducted at Georg-August-University focused on the use of low-field magnetic resonance imaging (lfMRI) to detect medial meniscal lesions in dogs with cranial cruciate-deficient stifle joints. The research found that lfMRI was effective in accurately identifying meniscal injuries, leading to appropriate treatment decisions. The study concluded that lfMRI is a noninvasive and reliable imaging tool for diagnosing meniscal lesions in dogs, potentially reducing the need for invasive diagnostic procedures in healthy menisci.
