Researchers from Qiqihar Medical University in China conducted a study on the synergistic effects of Achyranthes bidentata Blume and Paeonia lactiflora Pall. on hypertension with liver yang hyperactivity. The study utilized a multidisciplinary approach, including metabolomics and microbiology, to determine the optimal combination of these traditional Chinese medicine components for treating hypertension. The results showed that the AB-PL (2:3) combination had a significant protective impact on hypertension, indicating potential benefits for cardiovascular disorders. This research highlights the potential efficacy of herbal remedies in treating hypertension and provides insights for the development of modern Chinese drugs for cardiovascular health.
