A recent study conducted by Aesculap AG in Tuttlingen, Germany, focused on the kinematic patterns of different loading profiles before and after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). The study aimed to compare the anterior-posterior range of motion during passive flexion and stair ascent in knees with different TKA designs. The research concluded that both TKA designs studied were suitable for restoring the individual native kinematic pattern, and that passive and complex loading scenarios did not result in exactly the same kinematic pattern.
