Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted at the University of Mons in Belgium focused on affective prosody recognition in forensic inpatients who have committed sexual offenses. The research found that there was a pervasive impairment in affective prosody recognition in these individuals compared to community members, with no difference in disgust sensitivity scores between the two groups. Additionally, the study highlighted a metacognitive impairment in the forensic inpatients as they found the task easier than community members while being less sensitive. This research has been peer-reviewed and provides valuable insights into the socio-affective functioning of individuals who have committed sexual offenses. [Extracted from the article] |
