Abstrakt: Researchers at South China University of Technology conducted a study on the combined effects of depression or anxiety with high-sensitivity C-reactive protein in predicting the prognosis of coronary heart disease (CHD) patients. The study included 414 CHD patients and found that elevated depression with high hs-CRP significantly predicted the risk of noncardiac readmission and composite events. The research emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of depression with inflammation in CHD patients. The study was published in BMC Psychiatry and was supported by Guangzhou Municipal Science And Technology Program Key Projects and High-level Hospital Construction Project of Guangdong Provincial People's Hospital.
