Researchers at the University of Freiburg conducted a study on the efficacy of adding cenobamate treatment for patients with refractory epilepsy due to Rasmussen's encephalitis. The study involved three patients who had previously tried multiple treatment regimens without success. The results showed that cenobamate add-on treatment was superior to prior medications, leading to better seizure control and a reduction in overall medication intake. This research suggests that cenobamate may be a valuable treatment option for epilepsy related to Rasmussen's encephalitis. [Extracted from the article] |
