A recent study conducted at Debre Tabor University in Ethiopia examined the level of adherence to option B+antiretroviral therapy medication among HIV-positive women breastfeeding for up to 18 months. The research found that only 62.8% of participants adhered to the medication, below the recommended level of over 95%. Factors such as the type of health facility, partner support involvement, and travel time to the facility were significantly associated with adherence to the medication.
