Researchers at Hiroshima University have conducted a study on the effects of sunitinib, a cancer drug, on oral keratinocytes. The study found that sunitinib promotes cell injury and apoptosis in oral keratinocytes through p38 activation and STAT3 downregulation. This research sheds light on the cytotoxic effects of sunitinib on oral mucosal complications, providing valuable insights for future treatments.
