Abstrakt: The article examines and analyzes the information about peace agreements, peace treaties and other manifestations of peace in the chronicles of four chroniclers, related to events from the end of the 12th to the beginning of the 13th century in the Balkans, and especially the Fourth Crusade and its consequences. Analysis of these, albeit not so numerous, accounts allows for the differentiation of three forms of peace: 1) peace as a temporary agreement or truce, 2) peace as a legitimate agreement of non-violence and peaceful relations, and 3) peace as the absence of military action and lack of enemy invasions - peace as a form of well-being. The author also examines and analyzes Bulgarian-Latin relations in the studied period, emphasizing that the periods of peace prevailed over the periods of war. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
