Electrostatic protection is an important process technology in many industries, such as petrochemical industry, railway transportation, aerospace, electronics and electrical appliances, textile industry and so on. The development of electrostatic conductive coatings with excellent performance is the core of this technology. Waterborne electrostatic conductive coatings are characterized by safety and environmental protection, energy saving, excellent corrosion resistance, comprehensive physical and chemical properties and excellent and stable electrostatic conductivity, which is an important development direction and trend in this field. This paper introduces the research progress of different types of waterborne electrostatic conductive coatings in the field of anticorrosion in recent years, describes the sources of conductive properties and electrostatic conductive properties of different waterborne coatings, and provides an outlook on the research hotspot and future development direction of waterborne electrostatic conductive coatings.
