Abstrakt: Mobile phones make communication easier and faster to convey the message to the other person. In the 21st century, the foundations of health care are being shaken. A study to assess and analyse smart-phone dependence among staff nurses in terms of selected variables at a hospital, Bareilly. U.P. The aim of this study is to assess the knowledge regarding mobile phone dependence among the staff nurses. to achieve the objectives of the study which were to assess the level of knowledge regarding mobile phone dependence among the staff Nurses, to assess the effectiveness educational intervention on knowledge regarding mobile phone dependence among the staff Nurses, to find out the association between pretest level of knowledge on mobile phone dependence among staff Nurses with the selected demographic variables. The sample size was fifty subjects were selected from RMCH, Bareilly. Data was collected by using structured questionnaire. This sample was selected by using Non probability purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by using the multiple-choice questionnaire and these data was analyzed by SPSS version 27. The result of this study showed that educational intervention programme is effective on staff nurse according to level of knowledge before and after the manipulation in which (74%) of staff nurse have inadequate level of knowledge in the pre-test. In contrast (96%) of staff nurse have adequate level of knowledge in the post -test. The mean post test knowledge score (32.16 %) was greater than the mean pre-test level of knowledge score (12.34%). The obtained t value (-39.293) was greater than table value at 0.05 level of significance. it indicates that educational intervention programme was effective in improving knowledge of staff nurse regarding mobile phone dependence. This study conclude that educational intervention programme had a significant effect in improving knowledge of staff nurse regarding mobile phone dependence. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
