Background: The purpose of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of the health promotion package based on the basic beliefs of kidney cancer patients. Materials and Methods: The research method was a semi-experimental type with a pre-test, post-test and follow-up design with a control group. The statistical population was all people with kidney cancer who were members of Tehran Kidney Cancer Association in 2001-2001, and 30 people were selected in a purposeful way and randomly assigned to two experimental groups and one control group. Basic beliefs questionnaires (Catlin and Estein, 1992) were used to collect information. Data were analyzed with SPSS 22 software and using multivariate covariance analysis. Results: The results indicate that there was a significant difference between the mean world scores (p<0.001) and favorable self-belief (p<0.001) between the experimental and control groups in the post-test scores. Conclusion: health promotion package based on flourishing on basic beliefs is effective. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
