A recent study conducted by researchers at Cardiff University focused on interventions targeting the mental health and well-being of care-experienced children and young people. The study highlighted the increased risk of poor mental health and suicide-related outcomes among this population. The research identified sixty-four interventions, primarily from the USA, with limited effectiveness in targeting mental health, well-being, and suicide. Stakeholders recommended peer mentoring and system-change models to address these challenges and emphasized the need for further intervention work in this area. [Extracted from the article] |
