A study conducted at Saveetha University in Tamil Nadu, India, focused on the long-term effects of post-oncology interventions on gingival acquired lymphangiectasia. The research found that this condition, characterized by dilatations of lymphatic channels in the oral cavity, is rare but should be considered in the differential diagnosis of post-therapeutic gingival proliferative pathologies. The study reviewed cases of oral cancer patients over a 20-year period and highlighted the importance of recognizing and appropriately treating this benign condition.
