Abstrakt: A study conducted at Leiden University Medical Center examined the use of perfusion MRI (pMRI) in distinguishing early tumor progression from pseudoprogression in glioblastoma patients. The research found that while the Multidisciplinary Team Meeting (MDTM) assessment had higher diagnostic accuracy, systematic evaluation of pMRI could be beneficial in cases where MDTM assessment is uncertain. The study included 65 glioblastoma patients and concluded that pMRI evaluation may aid in treatment decisions for these patients. The findings were published in Neuro-Oncology Practice by Oxford University Press. [Extracted from the article]
