Abstrakt: Researchers from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine have found that Salvianolic acid B (Sal B) inhibits myocardial fibrosis during diabetic cardiomyopathy by suppressing the TRPC6 and TGF-b/Smad3 pathway. This study, supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, used diabetic mouse models and in vitro cell models to demonstrate the beneficial effects of Sal B in mitigating myocardial fibrosis. The research concludes that Sal B alleviates myocardial fibrosis in diabetes by modulating TRPC6 expression and the TGF-b/Smad3 signaling pathway. [Extracted from the article]
