Researchers at the University of Leicester conducted a feasibility study on the CRISP intervention, aimed at reducing cardiovascular risk in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). The intervention involved nurse-led cardiovascular risk assessments and lifestyle change support. While the intervention was generally well-received by patients and healthcare professionals, the fidelity of its delivery was found to be low, indicating a need for further refinement and testing before wider implementation. The study highlights the importance of detailed intervention training to improve delivery outcomes in AAA-surveillance programs. [Extracted from the article] |
