Abstrakt: A systematic review and meta-analysis conducted by Shenzhen University revealed a significant burden of HIV-1 drug resistance (HIVDR) among children and adolescents globally. The study found that the prevalence of HIVDR varied across regions, with the highest rates in Southern Africa and Asia. The research emphasized the importance of surveillance and recommended the adoption of dolutegravir (DTG) as a first-line antiretroviral therapy in settings with high levels of resistance. The study was supported by the Science and Technology Innovation Committee of Shenzhen Municipality and the Natural Science Foundation of Guangdong Province. [Extracted from the article]
