Abstrakt:	Researchers from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City conducted a study comparing qPCR and chromogenic culture methods for the rapid detection of Group B Streptococcus (GBS) colonization in pregnant Vietnamese women. The study found that both qPCR assays demonstrated high accuracy and were comparable to chromogenic culture in diagnosing GBS. The research revealed a significant prevalence of GBS colonization among Vietnamese pregnant women in their final trimester. The study included 259 pregnant women, with GBS prevalence ranging from 24.7% to 25.5% based on the different diagnostic methods used. [Extracted from the article]
