Researchers from the Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education have highlighted the successful treatment of pancreatitis caused by L-asparaginase in clinical practice. The enzyme L-ASP is used to intensify treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukemia in children, but its use is limited by toxicity and hypersensitivity reactions. Severe side effects, such as asparaginase-associated pancreatitis, can significantly impact the prognosis and outcome of children undergoing this therapy. The study provides insights into managing these complications and improving treatment outcomes. [Extracted from the article] |
